Knowledge is imparted , not taught
Teachers all over the world have never before had it so good! I’m serious. Gone are the days when lesson plans had to be laboriously drawn up and boringly administered to students in classrooms. The teacher resources of today have unlimited access to any number of teacher resources which help them make education not just instructive, but interesting as well.
Some of the biggest problems the teachers face have always been availability of excellent teacher resources. This is in part because of the limited federal and state budgets allocated to the development of teachers. While the great deal of funds are sent out towards the development of the academic atmosphere and the learning environment for students, teacher resources development, and consequently the access to teacher resources takes a backseat. But the solution to this age old problem has come in the form of the Internet.
The access to the Internet has opened up a world of possibilities for teachers not just in America, but all over the world as well. They can now access teacher resources, the likes of which they could not have dreamt about a few years ago. To take one instance, with a powerful connection to the Internet, teachers can access resources like online encyclopedias which, in their offline form are not only expensive to own and use, but cumbersome given their physical size and storage dimensions. Offline encyclopedias are also perishable and not easily reproducible.
In the earlier days, when teaching professionals had limited access to teacher resources, they had to devise their own teaching plans. There were some drawbacks with this method of operation. For one thing, not all teachers are equally competent. For another, different kinds of lesson plans meant that the learning gained was not integrated as the students of different schools of the same district would be dealing with the subject matter in vastly different ways. But online teacher resources have simplified this by giving teacher resources worldwide access to superior lesson plan template. These kinds of teacher resources not just offer convenience but also ensure that the learning is structured and measurable.
One thing is for certain. The latest technology in the arena of communications and information and the teacher resources available make it much simpler to teach young minds today than it was possible even a few years ago. And as the pace of technological development grows, we can only see an upswing in the quality of education that our children get.
Technology has supported the teaching community in a very big way.
